Frequently asked questions
Is the clock in / clock out feature free?
Yes. Clocking in and out, logging unlimited shifts, and seeing your hours and gross earnings are all part of the free tier. There is no cap on the number of shifts you can log.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Timely requires an account — email and password, or Sign in with Apple. There is no anonymous or local-only mode, so you'll create an account before your first shift.
Can I edit a shift if I forget to clock out?
Yes. Tap any shift to edit its start time, end time, notes, and tag.
Can Timely clock me in automatically when I get to work?
Yes, with Elite. You can set a workplace location and Timely will clock you in and out as you arrive and leave. It's off unless you turn it on and grant location permission.
Does it work for two jobs?
Timely tracks a single rate profile rather than separate jobs. You can tag and name each shift to keep workplaces straight, and Elite lets you override the hourly rate on individual shifts.
